As a world government with no need to worry about money, we could easily convert to renewable energy and achieve a no-pollution society as only having renewable energy to power the world. Research would be done to have the most energy-efficient renewable energy. Planes and helicopters would be used to travel but there is research in using renewable energy in aviation so that would hopefully become reality but travel would not need to happen that much so even if aviation has to run on non-renewable energy, it wouldn't be used that much so its effect would be negligible.
